Health tourism

 If you ask people anywhere in the world about Croatia, chances are that they can name at least one Croatian sports personality. Croatian athletes in football, handball, skiing, tennis and those who have won Olympic medals and other awards are the country's global ambassadors, but during their moments of rest they choose Croatia, a country that offers a wide range of choices for recreation and an active vacation – from wellness and health tourism to swimming pools and aquatic parks and adventure tourism and scuba diving.

1. General rules for employees

  • informing and training employees on implementing procedures to protect employees and passengers and procedures in case of infection of employees or visitors
  • physical distancing (especially employees who are in contact with guests from other employees)
  • wearing a protective mask
  • measuring body temperature
  • hand disinfection as often as possible when hands are not visibly dirty, washing and disinfection when hands are visibly dirty, and disinfecting work surfaces several times a day
  • a limited number of people in indoor settings
  • the anti-epidemic measures of the Croatian Institute of Public Health will be applied to medical staff

2. General rules for visitors

  • wearing protective masks in all common areas (entrance, sanitary facilities, catering, and commercial facilities)
  • hand disinfection when entering facilities and common areas
  • limited number of visitors
  • physical distancing
  • appropriate waste disposal (used face masks, etc.)

3. Cleaning

  • regular disinfection of all areas, surfaces and equipment with which visitors and employees are in contact
  • disinfectants (at the entrance to a building, at the entrance to common facilities, at the entrance to an elevator, at the entrance to catering facilities)
  • regular ventilation of all rooms
  • increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection of sanitary facilities
  • regular cleaning and disinfection of filters for air conditioning, ventilation, and heating

4. Reception/Entrance

  • on-line purchase and/or contactless payment
  • on-line check-in or self-check-in or check-in with shortened waiting time
  • protective barrier at the reception desk
  • advance check-out so that an invoice can be prepared in order to keep guests at the reception for the shortest possible time
  • posters and informative displays or video notices on general measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and information on appropriate waste disposal (masks, etc.)
  • appropriate waste disposal (used face masks, etc.)

5. Accommodation

  • protocols by type of accommodation are applied

6. Catering and commercial content and facilities

  • catering facilities have dedicated protocols in place and a guarantee of cooperation with partners who have a safety label

7. Transfers
