Swimming pools and aquaparks

 If you ask people anywhere in the world about Croatia, chances are that they can name at least one Croatian sports personality. Croatian athletes in football, handball, skiing, tennis and those who have won Olympic medals and other awards are the country's global ambassadors, but during their moments of rest they choose Croatia, a country that offers a wide range of choices for recreation and an active vacation – from wellness and health tourism to swimming pools and aquatic parks and adventure tourism and scuba diving.

1. General rules for employees

  • Informing and training employees on the implementation of procedures for the protection of employees and guests and procedures in case of infection of employees or guests
  • wearing protective masks
  • body temperature check
  • hand disinfection as often as possible when hands are not visibly dirty, washing and disinfection when hands are visibly dirty, and disinfecting work surfaces several times a day
  • limited number of people in indoor settings
  • shift work
  • in case of suspected health problems, employees will be referred to their doctors

2. General rules for visitors

  • maintaining a limited number of people in swimming pools and in common areas
  • physical distancing
  • disinfecting hands
  • internet or contactless payment for entry
  • entry to the bathing area requires taking a shower and going through the disinfection station

3. Spatial and technical conditions

  • disinfecting the hands
  • physical distancing
  • a limited number of people allowed in the swimming pool at the same time
  • proper disposal of waste
  • regular cleaning and disinfection of air conditioning and ventilation filters
  • regular inspection of dispensers and other devices for disinfection
  • disinfectant barrier - hyper chlorinated or with a disinfectant
  • posted information or video notices on general measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19
  • regular ventilation of all rooms, whenever possible
  • if required, lifeguards must only perform their duties without warning guests about distancing or disinfection

4. Cleaning

  • regular disinfection of premises and equipment with which guests and employees are in contact
  • enhanced maintenance of pool water to ensure proper hygiene
  • increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection of sanitary facilities - every two hours

5. Food and beverage service areas and shopping facilities

  •  catering facilities have dedicated protocols in place and a guarantee of cooperation with partners who have a safety label
